DEPENDANT PRAYER

We are radically committed to developing a culture of prayer at The Heights

Join us as we focus on building the practice of dependent prayer. Below are ways to commit to developing this practice, as well as some resources to help you. Our goal is that all of us develop the daily habit of prayer.

Individual Prayer Practice

These three prayer practices are a great place to start for anyone — no matter how long they have been praying. Each of these prayers can be as short as 30 seconds and can be built on over time. Give it a shot for 30 days!

Morning Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer - simply recite or go line-by-line and let it inform your prayers. The prayer can be found in Luke 11:2-4.

Mid-Day Prayer

Prayer for the Lost - pray for those close to you but far from God. Ask God to save them.

Evening Prayer

Gratitude - thank God for his care and provision for that day.

Community Prayer Practices

The best way to learn to pray is to pray with others. These 3 community prayer rhythms are all about helping you get around other disciples of Jesus and and seek God together. The more of these rhythms you can commit to, the more you will get out of the year of prayer!
