Everything We Have Was Always His
At The Heights, giving is not a bill we ask you to pay. It is worship — a way of returning to God what was always His and joining what He is doing in this church and this city.
Five things we believe about God, money, and you:
1) God owns it all.
Everything you have already belongs to Him. You are not filling a gap in God's resources. You are returning what was always His.
Psalm 24:1
2) God has entrusted it to us.
Like the servants in Jesus' parable of the talents, we have been handed resources and asked to manage them well. Giving is one way we prove faithful with what God has placed in our hands.
Matthew 25:14–30
3) God asks for our first and best.
Abel brought God the firstborn of his flock, not the leftovers, and the Lord looked on his offering with favor. We honor God the same way — with our first and best.
Genesis 4:3–5 · Proverbs 3:9
4) God gave first.
He gave His one and only Son. Every gift we bring is simply an echo of the grace we already received.
John 3:16 · 2 Corinthians 8:9
5) God invites us to test Him.
God tells His people to bring the whole tithe and test Him in it, promising to throw open the floodgates of heaven. He is a God who supplies and multiplies.
Malachi 3:10–11 · 2 Corinthians 9:11

Where Your Giving Goes
-

Church Planting + Missions Efforts
We believe that the New Testament pattern of church planting is the primary strategy by which the gospel of Jesus goes forward and the kingdom of God is proclaimed. A portion of every dollar you give goes to support church plants around the world.
-

Mercy and Justice
Your giving enables us to love Denver in a really tangible way. We support ministries here that care for our city's most vulnerable. Check out our partners on our Mercy and Justice page!
-

Meeting Needs
As a New Testament community, we aim to care for each other in the tangible things of life. When a need comes up in our church, your giving helps us meet it immediately. Whether it’s paying for rent or groceries — we are able to step in and care for people.
-

Facility and Staff
Your giving enables us to continue our gospel presence right here on East Colfax by paying for the needs of our building as well as paying for the salaries of our staff members who have committed to ministering here in Denver!
Wherever you are, take the next step.
