If you read the Gospels (biographies of Jesus’ life found in the Bible), Jesus’ love for the marginalized, the poor, the oppressed, and the sick is obvious. We believe that as Jesus’ church, we are to imitate this care for the most vulnerable in our city. This is one of the primary aspects of the Christian life.
Here at The Heights we partner with ministries around the city that are doing this work so that you can join them as you obey Jesus to take the good news to the “least of these” (Matthew 25:40).
Lovewell Colfax exists to give people experiencing material poverty and homelessness access to a restored life. The Lovewell Center is a membership-based resource center that gives its members the opportunity to earn the physical resources they want by attending classes designed to help them move out of poverty and homelessness and into a restored life. Earned credits can be used in the Lovewell Store to purchase food, clothing, and other resources.
