We believe that no one should have to go outside of the local church to receive a theological education. In fact, for most people, going back to school or seminary just simply isn’t an option.

The Heights Institute is a two-semester program at The Heights Church designed to teach the foundations of Christian Theology, Christian Scriptures, and Christian Practice in order to train up people to lead in the life of the local church.

The Heights Institute

What you will learn

Christian Belief

Everyone is a theologian. if you have ever thought about God, you’ve done theology! In the Institute, our goal is to equip you with the foundations of Christian belief and tradition so that you can know God and help others know him better.

Christian Story

The Bible is a collection of history, poetry, prophecy, and personal letters spanning thousands of years and dozens of authors. However, we also believe that it is the singular word of God. In the Institute you will learn how the Biblical story fits together, and how you can better understand and even teach others about the Bible.

Culture

Jesus calls us not just to think about him, but to obey him. In the Institute we will walk through the basic practices of a disciple of Jesus, how to implement them in our lives, and how to teach others to do the same.
