We are a church making disciples of Jesus for the renewal of Denver
Following Jesus at The Heights Church
-
We believe that the good news of Christianity is not about what we do for God so that he will love us — but rather, it’s about what God has already done for us through Jesus to show us his love for us.
Whether you’ve been following Jesus for 50 years, or you would consider yourself a skeptic, we want to help you in your journey to follow Jesus.

Life in the city can be lonely — but the vision of life with Jesus is a life full of vibrant, loving relationships.
Here at The Heights, the primary way that we introduce people to this kind of community is through community groups. Click below to learn more and join a group!

Serving our city and our neighbors is one of the primary markers of the Christian life. Discipleship to Jesus requires re-orienting our lives around the needs of others instead of our own — especially the most vulnerable among us.
At The Heights we want to connect everyone to a meaningful place to serve.
-
At The Heights, we are not converts, but disciples. We commit ourselves to growing in the practices of the New Testament that lead to personal and city-wide renewal.

Sermon on the Mount
Everyone wants to live a life that flourishes but few know the pathway into that kind of life. Most people are living in spiritual, financial, relational and emotional ruin. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gives us a vision for how we were made to live and serves as our guide on the pathway back to flourishing.
As we walk the path with Jesus this Fall, we are going to find that the way into flourishing is different than most people think. In fact, in many ways it is the exact opposite of what we are told in our cultural moment.
D.A. Carson calls the Sermon on the mount “Jesus’ confrontation with the world.” Each week we will look at a broken vision of flourishing and compare it with Jesus’ vision in the Sermon. We will use Jesus’ mnemonic device “You have heard that it was said, but I say to you” in order to compare and contrast the world's vision of flourishing with Jesus’ vision of flourishing.

Mercy & Justice in our city
If you read the Gospels (biographies of Jesus’ life found in the Bible), Jesus’ love for the marginalized, the poor, the oppressed, and the sick is obvious. We believe that as Jesus’ church, we are to imitate this care for the most vulnerable in our city. This is one of the primary aspects of the Christian life.
Here at The Heights we partner with ministries around the city that are doing this work so that you can join them as you obey Jesus to take the good news to the “least of these.” (Matthew 25:40)
Live life together
In a big city like Denver, it is easy to feel alone; however, it doesn’t have to be this way! Jesus never intended life with him to be lived alone — in fact, we see in the New Testament that the Christian life is impossible to be done alone. Thats why we have community groups!
Community Groups are small groups of people that gather weekly to do life and learn to know and follow Jesus together. They cultivate our relationships with God and one another, helping us move from our large Sunday gathering into circles of friends in homes, doing life together. A typical group gathering might involve everything from eating a meal together to sharing stories to discussing the Bible to praying for one another.
Grow as a Disciple
We believe that we are disciples and not just converts.
We are not interested in calling ourselves Christians and not living like it. We believe that following Jesus changes everything about how we live our lives - that’s called discipleship to Jesus.
That’s why we offer opportunities to grow in our Discipleship to Jesus. From dedicated learning environments like the Heights Institute, to Men’s and Women’s Bible studies — we want to create space for people to grow in their affection and commitment to Jesus.
